sorry, hatte den Link nicht nochmal durchforstet. Ist bei mir seit ewigen Zeiten in den Favoriten. War beim Update ausgestiegen, wo die serielle Verbindung notwendig war. Konnte damals von allen meinen Versionen bis dahin so updaten.
Werde mir also die 'aktuelle' Anleitung mal anschauen.

Das Problem gibt es nie beim Update der MZD Connect Software, sondern immer nur bei der Installation der AIO Tweaks. Die geht dann irgendwann nicht mehr über USB.
Wenn man das Update der Software selbst macht (was von Mazda nicht vorgesehen ist) schadet es aber ganz sicher nicht, sich die Anleitung sehr gut durchzulesen und am besten auf Papier ausgedruckt mit ins Auto zu nehmen. Das ist nämlich, wenn man es vorschriftsmäßig macht, ein längliches und komplexes Procedere! Beschrieben auf immerhin 8 (!) Seiten plus eine Seite "Kurzfassung".
Man kann sicher Glück haben und es funktioniert auch, wenn man nicht haarklein alle Schritte befolgt, aber man will dabei sicher nicht derjenige sein, der dann eben mal Pech hat.

Ich wollte sagen: Ich habe bei mir die AiO Tweaks seit Anfang an drauf und die Firmware nicht mehr aktualisiert als ich für die AiO die serielle Verbindung brauchte (sprich, ich hab die notwendige für AndroidAuto). Updates davor immer schön nach Anleitung gemacht.
Ansonsten hast du natürlich Recht, ist eine 'heikle' Sache und wenn was schief geht.... -

Das Change Log listet gegenüber der bisherigen Version 70.00.335C allerdings nur Änderungen für den Mazda 6 auf.

Aktuell ist bei meinem die Firmware 335C installiert. Jetzt lese ich vom Update auf 367. Scheint aber eher für den nordamerikanischen Markt abzuzielen. Hat jemand Erfahrung mit beiden Varianten und kann sagen, ob der Aufwand des Updates lohnt?

ich habe auf 352B geupdatet da ich das Problem mit einem massiven Echo
beim Geprächspartner hatte.
Ist jetzt behoben.

When receiving an interrupting call while in a call via BT hands-free, selecting “Hold + Answer” results in the black screen. The call is still active but the screen will not recover until turning ignition switch to off.
[Swedish] Voice message for an incoming call is not proper.
[Ukrainian] Translations to Ukrainian are not proper.
[Russia] When using the time zone for the clock setting, it may show wrong time according to older time zone data.
[V59.00.502 and later] BT connected iPhone shows the pop up screen prompting to download the “Navibridge” application.
When pressing the volume knob to mute, any audio source will not pause. (With the improved software, any MZD audio (CD, USB memory device or BT audio) will pause.)
When playing certain BT audio device, “Unknown” is displayed for track, artist and album names.

When in a call, an interrupting call came within 30 seconds will not be displayed on the screen.

• After using voice recognition on an iPhone via BT connection, the centre display continues showing own phone number and will not return to the previous screen.

Ist es für die Installation eines Updates wirklich entscheidend, dass der Stick eine USB 2.0-Schnittstelle bietet?
Habe heute versucht, von 335 auf 367 zu erhöhen, aber es wurde "kein Update gefunden". Nach Anstecken des Sticks erschien aber auch nicht an der oberen Bildschirmseite ein Hinweis auf den Stick, von daher vermute ich eher den Stick als Ursache.
