In November 2023, I bought a used 2021 Mazda Miata RF Grand Touring AT from the local Miata dealer where it had come back 6-months early from a 3-year lease. It had 17,000 miles so the balance of the 3-year manufacturer's warranty is in effect until May 24, 2024.
I had the car into the dealership in December with complaints of brakes squealing in reverse at slow speeds (TSB No. SA-003-23A) and the seat belts retracting slowly (TSB No. 08-001/21), both of which they did essentially nothing except hand me the TSBs on how I should address these issues myself. I wasn't impressed. They did check out the roof drain lines and reportedly performed the Retractable Hardtop Drain Maintenance per TSB No. 09-035/22.
I recently saw TSB No. 09-019/24 covering cracks forming on left and/or right retractable hardtop quarter garnish, and cracks are present in one of my two panels.
As the end of the manufacturer's warranty is approaching, I'm wondering what other problems/issues have ND owners experienced that I need to be aware of and potentially have addressed by the dealer before the warranty expires?
